Notes From the Editor
Chris Canada –President of SSMC“Music exploits the essence of human emotion. People who are driven by music live by these emotions. It is the most intriguing element of today’s existence and everyone has, in one way or another, been affected by music. We as humans need music to survive.” –Chris Canada
Many years have come and passed for the underground scene. You can witness the true greatness of these collective talents in this phase of their legacy. Undergound music is raw and untouched. Granted some of it is crap but there are those few in which stand out amongst the others. Their energy expresses the true emotion of the music. The mainstream is trendy, catchy, and mostly well thought out by a team of producers, marketing managers, and A&R's that engineer the music into a plastic project you can buy on a shelf. I admire the underground and I am here to support my local and regional scenes.

PROWLER is a 3-piece thrash horror metal band with terrorific riffs, spine-tingling sounds, memorable lyrics and quotes that should be familiar to aficionados of the horror genre. PROWLER combines metal with some old, chilling horror and thriller lyrics as well as quotes and live samples directly from the actual movies themselves. The vocals range from melodic to death, the death to add to the horror element and emphasize the theme even deeper. The concept is deadly contagious and each song is written about an individual horror, slasher, or thriller film.
Shamroc aka Jesse Gogarty was born in Norfolk, VA 1980...grew up in Va Beach, VA. At age 11 his father handed him an old Tascam 4-track recorder & that's what started the love and passion for making music. Having no equipment to make music, Shamroc basically beat boxed & freestyled through a set of headphones to make little mixtapes for the neighborhood kids...that was the beginning of Mildew Music (then was Klova Productions). A few years and casio keyboards later Sham was teaching himself how to write, produce, mix & engineer his own music. Using influences such as Gangstarr, DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, Pete Rock, KRS-One, Black Moon, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul,Lords of the Underground....etc the feel good era of early 90's hip hop.
We are Thirst For Clarity, an up-and-coming band hailing from Lake View, S.C.
